My iPhone is broken or the display no longer reacts, but it still comes on. It's an IPhone X. Before I take it to be repaired or have them exchange it for me, I want to reset it. Yes it has a code but I forgot to mention that I'm getting a new iPhone and the old one is only being fixed. So there's an exchange

Doesn't matter to you. A reset or repair will delete all memory contents.
