My iPhone is broken or the display no longer reacts, but it still comes on. It's an IPhone X. Before I take it to be repaired or have them exchange it for me, I want to reset it. Does anyone know a trick how I can do this? I thought that maybe it could be operated from a laptop (Windows), but because I can't unlock it, it doesn't work that way. Maybe a special combination of the few buttons or a trick how I can unlock my mobile phone or operate it from a laptop? I have already tried reset… Nothing.
I wouldn't reset it - they can't get to your data? Does it have a code?
Yes it has a code but I forgot to mention that I'm getting a new iPhone and the old one is only being fixed. So there's an exchange
I see.
No, but you can't reset the phone with the buttons… At least as far as I know.
Doesn't matter to you. A reset or repair will delete all memory contents.
