The right side of my touchpad has stopped working a few days ago. Can you exchange them? Is that difficult?
It all depends on the model. Some manufacturers make it easy for you to open the device (e.g. Screws), other manufacturers stick your devices which makes it a little more difficult.
Check if your device is available from ifixit. There are various instructions for repairing yourself.
If you don't trust yourself to do the repair yourself, go to the specialist shop and ask what it would cost.
