How can I view, save or play recordings of an Intenso hard drive on a laptop?
Pictures of where / from whom?
if from TV or receiver, are the hard drives
a) usually formatted in Linux format (ext3 or ext4) that Windows can't read
b) and mostly encrypted
If it's formatted normally: just open the files with the right media players. If in doubt, install the VLC player if codecs are missing.
When used as a recording medium for a TV: Can't. The hard disk is encrypted for copy protection reasons. You can only use it on the TV until it is reformatted. And then the shots are gone.
The hard drives on the TV are not encrypted. But only ext3 / 4 readable. The format can be Windows but not by default. But there are tools.
So connect the hard drive to the PC with USB port. On the workstation, you can then open the hard disk and view. You may need to install a Trerrer software, but I do not think so. (at least not with my Intenso)
If you can now see your files and access daraif, you would want to copy them and save them on the laptop. Alternatively, you can delete the data from the disk even if you no longer need it there.
From your terminal (laptop or PC), you can now manage your data and continue to pull on a USB stick. Simply plug it in and open it in the workstation so that the window opens with or without content. From the windows, you can simply pull them over. Hold it down with the mouse button and simply drop it in the correct window.
To play you make a right click on the file that you want to play and choose an available program like VLC or Windows'MediaPlayer "for images, music and videos. The corresponding text files are of course open programs with text, such as WordPad or OpenOffice.
Can you perhaps recommend a tool and explain something to me, how to do it?
