RAM installed, but does not show everything?

In my laptop are 8GB Ram firmly installed. In addition, I have now installed 2x 8GB. The laptop indicates that 16GB are available.

Is that normal? Should not he show 24 GB?

Maybe he only supports 16GB. Or a bolt is not recognized.

Install 1 RAM bolt.

Start up NB, see if recognized. Turn off NB.

… If necessary look with CPU-Z which bar is not recognized. Possibly. Exchange RAM slot.
