Is it legal to use macOS in a VirtualBox?

As already stated in the title, I would like to install MacOS in a VirtualMachine on my laptop (i5 8250u, 8gb RAM, 2TB HDD). Is the whole thing legal at all?

A normal macOS will not run on your laptop, you need a Hackintosh, even in a virtual machine.

That's the way it is.

There's no law in Germany that prohibits this, so it is not illegal. It violates Apple's terms of use. So Apple could take civil action against you. Whether this would be successful is controversial. Apple doesn't track home users, so there are no judgments. But it often doesn't work for technical reasons, Apple knows how to prevent that.

If you have a valid macOS license: Self-reliant.

But that should be the least of the problems.

If you were able to install macOS on a VM, I would create a nice tutorial for you and share it with the experts.
