I have an all-in-one PC from "Aquado". However, I have had a more powerful laptop for some time now and would sometimes like to simply connect it to the all-in-one to benefit from the larger screen.
Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with it and do not know how it (All in One) only takes over the image and does not switch itself on as a PC.
I had already switched on the laptop and connected it to the All in One using an HDMI cable, but unfortunately only the normal PC started up.
Does anyone know how I can handle this and only use the all-in-one as a monitor?
Below is a photo of the buttons available to me should it be a manual problem.
Thank you in advance
It does not work like that. From the PC the picture on the laptop. There are HDMI in and out. As you can imagine, HDMI Out is always the signal and In receives it. If Out and Out are put together, nothing happens. The only possibility would be to connect the screens via the internet.
As a rule, computers only have graphic outputs but no inputs.
If you're lucky, you can open the lid at the back and find an HDMI cable that goes from the computer to the screen.
If you are unlucky, the signal will be passed through soldered contacts, making it not easy for a normal user to use the screen without using the computer.
Similar to a laptop, the screen of an all-in-one PC can't usually be controlled separately. The HDMI connection on the back of the PC is usually an HDMI output via which you can connect another screen to the All-in-One PC.
So you would need an HDMI input. You can retrofit one with a capture card, for example. Then you reproduce the video signal of the capture card with an appropriate program that runs on the all-in-one PC.
But you usually pay more for a decent capture card than for a simple monitor.
Which Aquado do you have exactly?
Probably not. Since things have no entrances, if at all.
but if you can do without your aio, then an option might be to sell the device and use the proceeds to get a monitor.
It's a unfortunately a small black and red cable. So can I not remodel?
Black and red are usually electricity. Black for minus and red for plus. There must be more…
