I bought an OK TV and is pretty OK on the whole, but a problem with HDMI appeared. I stream from my laptop connected to HDMI on my TV, but unlike my laptop, the "colors" of the TV do not look right or the image is 90% black and white. I tested all 3 HDMI ports and tried a different cable. Pulling the mains plug and switching on again does not work either. I tried pretty much everything in the TV settings but didn't help.
Anyone else who knows ways to fix this error?
Can you rule out resolution problems?
What about the same cable and laptop on a different TV?
Do you have any other inputs besides the three HDMI ports?
Can you take another laptop to stream? If so, try it. If it is the same result, then it will be the television.
Sorry but if you buy cheap, buy twice…
I solved the problem, the TV was set to regular under all 3 HDMI ports and had to set it to expand, I guess I missed something. But thanks anyway for your answer.
