Ups package is cleared at customs?

I recently ordered a Lenovo l340 gaming laptop and it was shipped on the 27th. Now the tracking of ups says "Your package will be cleared at customs. Do I have to pay no customs duty anyway?

de

Where did you order the part from? From abroad? Then it ends up clearly in customs and you may have to bear customs and other costs (depending on the value of the goods).

Le

Directly at Lenovo

Ru

No, that means that like anything that comes from outside the EU, customs overlooks it.

If the customs declaration is ok, the delivery service collects the taxes at the door, if something is unclear, it goes to the customs office near you, you get a letter and have to pick it up again and pay the taxes there.

19% import sales tax from the total value (incl. Shipping), from 150 euro customs can be added!

Le

But when I bought it directly from Lenovo, do I really have to pay customs duty there?

Ta

Apparently the goods come from a third country, so customs may be due

Bi

Why should a direct purchase from the manufacturer exempt you from customs?

Le

I bought on a German site and the package comes from China. How do I know? And shouldn't Lenovo pay for that?

Gu

So much guesswork…

The laptop probably comes directly from China and logically goes through the customs upon arrival. The duty rate on laptops is 0%. 19% VAT Are incurred - but they are certainly already included in the purchase price. The customs VAT bill is therefore paid by Lenovo, including all UPS costs

You pay exactly what was on the website and no longer.

Gu

You don't pay anything extra. They all have no idea.

Le

OK, thanks, that calms me down

Le

OK thanks

Ru

Report how it went on - I'm one of the dozens of parcels and parcels received from China every year, but "I don't know".

If Levonco is an extra sausage that already takes these costs into account then well!

It would also have been helpful to state this in the question that you configured and ordered directly in a German shop and not in Shanghai.

Saves you the know-it-all "no one has a clue" afterwards.

Le

Lenovo. Is a German shop, right?

Ru

You will know and be able to read the imprint of where the shop is located?

The fact that a site is in German does not mean that the site is in Germany.

Just keep us up to date, just interested.

Le

Yes comes from Germany. The package has already been released twice by the customs authorities, what does this mean?

Ru

How do you know?
Look at the time, at what distance.

Le

The lenovo in Germany is from the imprint and that the package has already been released twice by the customs authority, by the app

Why should it?

Nothing has changed yet

Ru

Because there used to be problems more often
