Slight white streaks on the screen, is this normal?

Hi. I have had a gaming laptop for some time (Lenovo Ideapad L340).

Light, vertical stripes can be seen on the laptop screen, especially on dark backgrounds. However, they are hardly recognizable. Is that normal or is it a defect?

Shouldn't be like that. So I would call that defective

Can you add a photo to the question? Without a photo, it is very difficult to assess whether it is a defect (graphics card) or, for example, backlight bleeding.

I tried to photograph the whole thing as well as possible.

Where on the display can you see the stripe from the photo? Or does that change?

Does the pattern or number of stripes change when you slowly fold the laptop lid back and forth? Or apply a little pressure with your finger at the bottom of the screen or the area around the hinges on the upper shell of the laptop?

So, first of all you have to say that the clearly visible line on the right in the picture was part of the program interface that I had just opened. It's about the barely visible line in the middle of the picture. This is best seen at the top of the picture.

Otherwise nothing changes, everything stays the same as far as I can see it.

After a restart, the stripes are also much less visible.

Hmm, difficult to see what you mean - I think it is most likely that the display is simply inhomogeneously illuminated. But this is no damage to the hardware, it just depends on the manufacturing quality of the display:

Built-in LEDs
Manufacturing accuracy
Error tolerance and quality control
