I want to get myself a new laptop (the graphics don't really matter, only the performance is important).
I searched around for a long time and narrowed myself down to two models, which model of which could be better or if someone has had experience with one of the two models, would you recommend it?
Since both models have the same processor and RAM…

My laptop is simply not recommended. Get the stand PC
I have to be mobile because I often go to service calls…
I heard the XMG series is good
So since the HP has a better GPU, I would take it. If I understand correctly, it has not installed an operating system. So you would have to install it yourself and buy a key for 20 euro or something. Personally, I always reinstall the operating system anyway, so that all of the manufacturer's garbage is removed first. I always have keys in stock anyway. In other words, I would get the HP.
I also have a HP right now and am super at peace. This has been running fine as my main laptop for the last 4 years or so. Since I'm a computer scientist, I must have 100 programs and tools on it. So it's pretty full but still runs without any problems. Even gaming can still manage to some extent. At that time it had cost a reduced price of 750 euro.
The only thing I've done so far was swap the SSD, because at some point it was extremely slow, so probably dying. I also replaced the WLP with liquid metal. This means that it does not run above 80 ° C regardless of the load. With normal load it hangs around at 40 ° C and you don't have to change the paste every 2 years because it has become hard.
So I can only recommend HP, even though I've heard many say that they don't like HP.
Both manufacturers are good although I favor Lenovo.
But since the HP laptop has a much better GPU built in, I would use it.
Confirm Tim's choice. My wife uses a small Lenovo and it is very vulnerable and freezes. In contrast, HP is very reliable.
Have fun
