How do you properly connect Air Pods Pro (sound and microphone) to a Windows laptop?

I recently got the Air Pods Pro and have some problems connecting it to my Lenovo Ideapad 3. So I can connect the headphones so that I can hear the audio output, but the microphone doesn't seem to work. Can anyone help me further?

In Windows Settings - Devices - "+ Bluetooth - or add another device"… Select Bluetooth… Press the rear button on the open AirPods until the white light starts to flash…

Windows should now recognize and set up the AirPods…
