I created a bootable USB stick to pull WIndows 7 onto my laptop (or Cloudready) but the laptop does not want to boot the stick. I've tried a lot in the BIOS, tried different stciks, meanwhile tried 8 different windows ISOs and nothing worked. Maybe you can help me. Data from the Lapotp: Lenovo ThinkPad T60, 80GB HDD
Switch off Fastboot and or Secureboot in BIOs. See if you have UEFI boot, then your stick UEFI boot must have.
Is not synonymous, I had previously linux on it, and if I reinmache the stick and boats from him comes briefly a input line and then he instantly reboots linux
Then he probably does not boot from the stick. How did you create the stick?
And what is an input line?
But you already know how this works on windows install disks? First comes the question that one should press a key (spacebar) to get to the setup, otherwise it will continue in the normal way in the boot (not the medium)
Yes, I have already set up tens of machines. BTW: It worked now, with CloudReady, and I'll put it down now because I'm starting to get fed up with Linux
Incidentally, I always create my sticks with Win32DiskImager
What can I say. The OS is not the problem, the user is the problem.
I did not know Win32DiskImager yet.
Has always worked with me until now
The T60 is still from IBM and soon 15 years old?
How did you create the USB stick? - Does the stick work on another computer?
Unfortunately, I have not had an IBM ThinkPad T4x / T6x in my hand for many years, but thought the boxes should already support USB boot.
Is the stick listed in the BIOS? - Does the BIOS already have a boot menu (with divice selection)?
Problem was already solved.
HOW DID YOU SOLVE IT
