I need the default bios password for a Lenovo Thinkpad T450, do not get into bios without this password (but it must be the original password possibly "master password" from Lenovo because the password has never been changed)

Di

Try 12345678 or something

Without a notebook disassemble no chance?

Even here have a Lenovo Thinkpad. This has no password set by default. Thus it must have changed sometime with you somebody. You have to ask this person.

OK, that helps me now ever, so it is actually as the other (PC's notebook, etc.) after the command input (F1 F8, etc.) to open Bios is usually synonymous with this Lenovo requires no password? Is this correct? However, if a password is required as in my case it was set by someone (not by the manufacturer itself)

Em

At least that's the case with my notebook, yes (at least I remember it was like that - did not have to go to the bios for a long time).

Mu

Correctly. The manufacturer does not set passwords. In an emergency, there's the possibility to calculate the password via hash, but this does not always work. This could possibly be the manufacturer's turn. The trick to empty the CMOS battery does not work anymore with the T450.

All clear Thank you, me e.g. Know it so (not Lenovo) in all other computers and notebooks where I wanted to bios was not required a password, just enter the correct command at the device start and you were automatically in the bios and could then adjust everything there

Thank you

To those who are interested, on demand from Lenovo directly via Facebook states:

On delivery, BIOS has no password, if BIOS has a password then someone has set it up later

Some of the new Lenovos might have a BIOS password. "00000000" (8 times zero) worked for me.
