Linux hangs up?

I have the problem that every Linux distribution tested so far hangs on my Asus notebook. The PC then freezes and no longer reacts to anything. But I also have Windows on this Asus F551M laptop; it works fine and doesn't cause any problems. Can someone help me? I just had it again and read the report, but I can't figure it out. Please help me, I'm grateful for any help.

Ha

Are you already having problems installing or restarting?

Gu

When installing everything went great with the live system and Windows also works without problems that's the strange thing

Ha

I had similar problems with my ACER until I found this guide online, the key combination in the Bios main menu.

The following procedure was successful for me:

BIOS - Tab "Main" => Press the key combination CTRL + S
this also shows "SATA Mode: [Optane without RAID]"
SATA Mode: Click on [Optane without RAID] and change to "AHCI"

Gu

What is main?

Ha

When starting the computer go to the BIOS, and then change that in the "Main" menu.

Gu

OK will try

Ha

You may not have to press CTRL + S in the MAIN menu, just change to "AHCI".

Gu

But I do not destroy the PC with it or not that it no longer starts?

Ha

This has been going on with my Acer for about a year

Gu

Nothing happens to me

Gu

He's already into ahci fashion

Ha

Then I can't help you either.

Of

I think I read somewhere that Asus and Linux can sometimes bite each other. Is your hardware fully supported in Linux?

Gu

How do you mean supported

br

But you already realize that the Asus Bay Trail CPU is not running with Linux?

Of course there's no support for Linux either.

Gu

Why doesn't that run linux runs on every computer i think

br

Nope. Linux is not a miracle cure, even if the Linux disciples like to sell it that way.

Asus with Intel Bay Trail Intel beets are a problem anyway… I haven't got a stable Linux system there yet. But I'm not a Linux expert either.

Did you look at my link?
