I own the notebook Lenovo G50-45 and in this I want to install in the hard disk Transcend SSD 230S 256GB TS256GSSD230S and I do not know if that could work. Can someone write me here whether it is feasible or how I can find out if the hard drive fits in and can work in this notebook?
First of all to the terms: hard drive means a conventional hard disk drive (HDD), an SSD has no mechanical components, the data is stored in non-volatile memory and is not referred to as a "hard disk".
The G50-45 should have a standard 500GB HDD (2.5 ") (unless there are many different trim levels for this model.) Exactly you can find out about this via the Device Manager under drives: there the current drive is displayed, then you can find out everything about the model name.
The Transcend SSD 230S is a standard SATA SSD, also in 2.5 "format - so it should be easily interchangeable with the built-in HDD.
