15.6 or 17.3 inch gaming notebook?

I have to get a notebook in order to program, to watch many films and series and now and then to play a bit. I'm almost always at home, but of course I will lug the part with me whenever I have to.

My question is whether it should be 15 or 17? The 15 from acer has the very latest hardware r5 5600h rtx 3060.

The 17 from lenovo has the one year old components i7 1750h rtx 2060 but a larger, nicer display which is also of value to me but the acer has the more up-to-date components and is therefore also more powerful.

Which one should I take now?

Just looking at the display size: definitely 17.3. Otherwise gaming is no fun. Is already borderline with 17.3

the 15 has the better graphics card. Difficult. But I wouldn't buy a 15.

Acer certainly not at all. It is physically defective after 1-2 years. (Broken plastic on the hinge)

17 "notebooks are terrible to carry around. So if you're on the move regularly, it's too big / heavy.

If you would use the device mostly at home anyway and also want to gamble then don't use a notebook but a fixed PC.

Even notebooks with good hardware are not really suitable for gaming because it simply does not work to cool the boxes properly. This leads to crashes, short hardware lifetimes or even direct hardware damage.

But I wouldn't take any of the two. The Acer has a good price but is too small. The Lenovo is more expensive with poorer hardware.

Then they take an external monitor, keyboard and mouse anyway. In this respect, the 15 inch models are more interesting.

With notebooks, however, you should note that it is not just about the data of the components. The housing and the cooling system are also important here. Personally, I've had a rather bad experience with Acer.

Also note that the mobile components are significantly less powerful than the corresponding desktop components.

So if you are on the road regularly, it is too big / difficult.

Yep, and at home you have a monitor on your desk anyway. Somehow neither fish nor meat those things. Maybe interesting for people who often work in hotel rooms or who only rarely use the box.

So are you leaning towards the lenovo notebook if you had to take one?
