Is there any way to change the keyboard layout of my laptop (Lenovo Y50) and, for example, edit the secondary functions of the function keys? (So for example Fn + F7 Pause and Fn + F8 Play) Although I have a number pad but no back / before / play / pause buttons, which I miss very much, for example. While working or playing, you can pause or resume a song without interrupting everything.
So I found a solution myself. If anyone should have the same question here, here's how:
I used the program "Sharp Keys".
Install, start, then down on "Add" to add a configuration. At the bottom left on "Type Key" and then the key that you want to recreate, tap once. Then select from the table on the right the function that you want to assign (or press the respective key if the function is already assigned elsewhere). What I was looking for can be found under "Media: Next Track", "Media: Play / Pause" and "Media: Prev Track". Finally confirm with "OK", click on "Write to Registry" and restart the PC.
I have now assigned the keys "split", "times" and "minus" above the number pad with "track back", "play / pause" and "track forward" and it works very well.
One thing though: I'm not sure if it was because of it, but my desktop icons have partially disappeared & I had to re-add them.
