My laptpop (Lenovo) ran so far perfectly. He still does that, as long as I do not hook him up.
On Friday, for the first time, I realized that the light flickered throughout the apartment when I hooked up my laptop. I bought at SATURN for about 20 EUR a new power cord with integrated +10 adapter, then I was already twice without problems on the power.
Today something happened again:
I wanted to connect my laptop to the mains, but there was no power in the laptop (control lamp on the laptop remained dark), I pulled the plug out immediately. Then I noticed that I had no electricity in the apartment for 5 minutes. (No sockets, no lights, no heating etc.) The fuses were inside. The power came back automatically after about 5 minutes.
As long as I use my laptop with battery, it works again. However, I do not dare to reconnect it to the mains.
Can I solve the problem by buying a new laptop earlier in the week?
I honestly can't imagine a way how a small laptop power supply can effect such effects. If so much power is pulled through a fast short circuit that the light flickers, something should be getting warm on the cable or power supply.
The power failure with automatic return after 5Minuten can't explain it.
Random meeting?
I would first try other outlets. Surely you have friends where you can try this. Otherwise, I can't imagine anything logical. If you have a short circuit you would fry the laptop and the fuse would have to trip. Of course, it may be that the circuit breaker is broken, but that would be a very strange circumstance. Try it on other sockets in other houses. Normally, then there should be as much as the backup rausfliegen.
If it were on the power supply, only one circuit should flicker, or trigger the fuse of the circuit. I suspect a fault in the installation or house connection sleeve (if it is powered by the earth) … The 5-minute failure would be more of an error from the outside, because in the house nothing automatically turns on again. It could be that the municipal utilities work wirgenwo and therefore had to switch off briefly. Vlt even fix the flicker error because of more power issues. Watch the whole thing, should the light continue to flicker, and not just in the room where the laptop is loaded, inform the landlord / energy provider. They can ever check at the house connection, if necessary, if there's a fault in the supply to the meter. After that, an electrician is responsible. But until house connection is RU thing.
Only one room flickers, so in other rooms it works without problems, then there's a fault in the circuit of the affected room. This can lead to a fire… So watch and test whether only one room flickers, or even more.
With us several rooms have flickered, if consumers were one. There it was the thimble in the street…
On Friday, when the light just flickered, it always flickered, no matter in which room and at which socket I connected the laptop. The flicker went away after a few minutes.
Other electrical appliances (plug-in lamp, hair dryer and vacuum cleaner) I can connect anywhere without problems.
An uncle just told me that he once had a kettle, which regularly caused a power failure for several minutes when connected. When he finally came to the conclusion that the kettle was to blame for everything, the problem has never occurred again.
