Power supply with EU plug to 110 volts and B-type adapter?

I have a power adapter for my Lenovo laptop and would like to go on a trip to Canada and the Caribbean with it. I know that there's a different mains voltage and a different plug than the one used for the EU. On my power supply 100-240 V alternating current has to arrive as input.

After the info I now think that only the plug seems to be relevant. My consideration is now to buy an adapter with which I can adapt the EU plug to a B-type plug and then the power supply should work. Am I thinking correctly or too simply? Have I overlooked something?
