I have a ThinkPad and I got used to it, so I wanted to buy it. How do you like it?
Too expensive for the built-in hardware
What do you mean exactly with hardware? So what part?
A 900 euro pc without a proper graphics card
Huh? Isn't that a PC?
A 900 laptop without a graphics card
I don't care about graphics cards. I don't really need it. I don't gamble.
As an alternative proposal

But that's not a convertible. I prefer convertible because I need it for university.
You have no idea. The Thinkpad notebooks are business devices. The prices for the devices (regardless of which manufacturer) are always somewhat higher, because the materials used e.g. The housing is of higher quality and the devices are therefore also more durable.
Has everything I expect from a good business, is designed for mobile use and if you get along well with the Trackpoint, then get it.
