Best notebook / PC for programming?

Hi

After 6 years I decide to buy a new laptop OR PC. Being an aspiring programmer (JS, Java, C, …), I just want the "best" for me. So my question: Which laptop is best? Apple, Lenovo?

And which system offers the most / best features for a programmer?

MacOS, Windows, Linux

Maybe a few people have experience.

Personally, I prefer Windows.

Why?

Because Windows is very common and I can test the programs immediately in a real environment.

As a notebook, something quite nasty, such as a modern i3 from Intel.

8GB RAM are not wrong, a nice SSD helps too.

At least a 15 "laptop for the overview, Matt TFT is also nice when you work outside.

I use VM a little because this does not reflect the real environment.

You should assess what direction programming will take in the future. By that I mean it's about application, server programming, game programming, etc.

With game programming, Windows is probably the first choice, but as the languages were stated, this will probably be less the case…

C fits generic well to Linux or MacOS, Java of course.

Most servers in the data center run under Linux, but if you want to leave the decision open or universal, MacOS is the common interface with which you can program UNIX-moderately, but where there's also support for proprietary software that excludes Linux ( Games, Adobe, …)
