My G500 is now getting a bit old, but nevertheless I like to use the notebook. Unfortunately, the fan has become quite loud under load.
Now I would like to exchange this for a new one, of course, with the mounting lid it is very easy to take a look inside. When I took a closer look at the fan, I found that the fan had a bit more space and there were more holes to tighten it.
That's why I asked myself the question if I probably. Can build a more powerful fan. Would the fan fit in with the G500s, or would it fit with another model?
For any tips or information, I would really appreciate it.
Did that synonymous with my notebook (but Lenovo) made. Just bought a similar from HP notebook and then installed there. The holes did not fit in the least, then fixed the fan with heat-resistant silicone (for hotplates). Has the advantage that it remains slightly flexible and absorbs the vibrations and is naturally heat-resistant…
Have only paid attention to the approximately the same size and height and the plug fits, but I would have adapted in the worst case.
Is much quieter… I also have a thermal switch installed to bypass this really bad fan control, the thermal switch triggers only at 55 °, as long as the radiator stays off.
