I want to give my brother 200 euro to the existing Abi. Is that enough?
For some, that sounds like a lot or a little. I actually save for my year abroad and noticed today that my brother does not even go to his Abi ball. Then I asked why that is. He just said they do not graduate because the boys in his class did not want to, which sounds pretty absurd. I know he's lying to me. He just does not want to spend so much money because he plans to start a project / company instead of studying.
Our financial position is not the best. My mother, I believe, does not want to give him anything either. I feel so bad because I recently bought a notebook.
Two hundred euro I think inappropriate much.
In order for him to be able to afford a nice evening (that's a nice idea for a gift) 100 Euro are in my opinion a generous gift.
As for your question: I did not know that you would give something to graduate school. But not everything was "normal" in my family.
The amount I find more than adequate, especially if you obviously save yourself on something.
It's a nice gesture if you want to give something to your brother. But I think it's up to him if he prefers to save on something instead of treating himself.
So you have to expect that with the money you give him, you will not do what you want him to do. So he can spend it as he likes and do it for his project. If you want him to treat himself, I'd rather recommend a coupon, or invite him directly to something.
Possibly. Does it make sense not to make it too big a deal so that he does not feel offended in his pride and your mother does not feel bad because she can't give anything.
PS I have repaired your mistakes. Have read worse here ;-)
I think it's great that you want to give him something. Great gesture to your office. Too bad your parents do nothing about this. Must not be money or not be much. The gesture counts.
How about if you buy him a coupon, z. B. For a trip or various single (cinema, concert, exhibition etc.)? Since he has already saved a lot himself, I find money for his project somehow stupid.
I also like the idea with the discount cards. He should go there, only once in a lifetime, when one has come this far.
