Trackpad not working after water damage?

I poured some water over my MacBook Air yesterday (around 6 p.m.). I immediately wiped away the water and put my laptop in rice. Everything works, including the keyboard, but the trackpad can no longer be pressed and does not respond. Has anyone ever had experience with it?
