Question takes the title, have almost asked the same question, but not so in detail.
That I got many answers on it, which ultimately unsettled me, because the opinion is far apart, here is a small supplement:
Of course I have independently informed about the purchase of this MacBooks and have just read a lot of reviews from MacBook users who have used their MacBook for many years and have not experienced a major drop in quality. That's exactly why I wanted to opt for a MacBook because I want something relatively long-lived for my money, and I've had the experience that it often happens with "other" PCs, notebooks, etc., this one very rusty over the years. Of course you can't generalize, because there are always Ausnhamen but just the MacBooks seem to be the reason to be relatively far ahead, even if of course the price for what is in there may be something much is required. For 900 euro, that seems to me to be quite good. Furthermore, I found my research that most users actually actually have little problems with their MacBooks (known keyboard, display, battery and fan problems), because the error rate on the devices was actually what initially scared me but if you then you read it so you actually notice that it actually affects the least devices.
It sounds like I've decided, if I read through the text again, but it is still that I'm still uncertain, because there are still reasons that speak against it such as. The occasional error rate or the hardware, which is always criticized, for the price, which one pays.
At the heart of my question: Am I getting something better for the money, or would the money ultimately be well invested or not, with factors that are included alone?
As far as the hardware is concerned, I simply do not know myself as well as I could rate it myself, so the question.
In good condition this is a top offer. Do you have to think about it, because larger business among friends can also like to go wrong. If the laptop breaks down immediately after the purchase, this may strain your friendship.
For the price the Apple products have, you will always get a better hardware. If you've already decided, any further response will unsettle you again. Listen to your gut feeling.
MacBooks are known to last. I have one here from 2009, which is still reliable.
Another advantage, less of the hardware than of the operating system, is the fact that MAC OS does not self-engulf like Windows, at least if you are a bit disciplined and occasionally clean up the download folder.
Furthermore, MAC-OS is the most intuitive operating system that I know. And I know many.
The offer is fair, so I would strike.
What does actually mean decided, usually the thing used so yes to the 1300-1500 euro, that you get a better hardware is I think so clearly.
But would you actually get so much better hardware in a laptop for 900 euro or is it so that you can say that all in all it is actually DEADLY apple a good price for what is in it.
Yes, of course, that should not be a problem, let's ignore these aspects, it's all about technology.
Thanks for the answer, that's exactly what I wanted to ask.
Do you think I can get away with this for another 5-8 years?
Then strike. I have only found a better online offer, but with "Significant signs of wear". 900 euro for the laptop are really good, I have the same and have new 2600 paid. Run like a one.
Thanks for the answer.
No problem with keyboard etc?
Well, of course it depends on what you want to do with it. For office work, surfing, etc. Will it be good in 10 years? For lavish graphics work rather not, but since you use synonymous rather an IMac Pro with a lot of RAM and 27 inches screen (as I have one in the office). For games, Macs are rather not suitable, although you can also install WIndows parallel.
A disadvantage of the Macbook Pro is its modest disk space, but most "Macler" hang on a cloud or a NAS for the really voluminous data. Of course an external hard drive does it too.
But, even the smallest dust particles let the keys get stuck or react badly. My message was sent in and was fixed. I have the price but also a 5 year warranty bought.
Okay, thank you for the information
Thanks for the info, I will probably not play a lot, I have a PC for that, at most unobtrusive things.
My laptop is also a commodity. I use this partly 20 hours a day, no shell but always only laptop compartment in the backpack. Since I'm always part of the Jobbedingt always suffers it also suffers accordingly.
Can I imagine, so I'm on the way but not too much…
But that the keyboard is so vulnerable is a bit silly.
