I would like to buy a notebook in the near future and would love to hear your opinion.
Either I would buy a MacBook Pro Retina Refurbished for 600 euro Late 2013 with i5, 8GB Ram, 256Gb SSD.
Or a Windows notebook, also for 600 euro, maybe something like this: https://m.notebooksbilliger.de/hp+envy+x360+15+ds0101ng+473684
What would you recommend?
On the one hand, I would need it for school, i.e. Office, and on the other hand I would cut videos as a hobby, just two tracks, nothing special. Otherwise, a long battery life would be important to me because I will soon take the train every morning and want to work on the train.
Would you advise me to use a completely different device?
You compare a used device and a new one for the same price.
Do you want a new or used one?
I advise you to the notebook
Basically I wouldn't care, I want the best I can get for the money I need.
Why?
I know many who are dissatisfied with a macbook
OK thank you.
Please give clever reasons: WHY are many of your friends dissatisfied with a macbook?
That would actually be interesting.
Didn't ask her
A mix of requirements… For video editing you want performance, a large internal storage medium and a good screen. That doesn't speak for a mobile office package, compact with a long battery life.
the battery runtime of decent Win notebooks (Thinkpad X1, for example) lasts well these days. I'm still private on MacBook. But you would have to check in advance how access is at your school, etc., to servers, printers, share points, demo / development environments, projector connection, etc. Some are more iOS-like, some more Windows-related, also in terms of support or licenses
