My beloved laptop has unfortunately given up after 8-9 years. Num I would like to get a MacBook, because it has always been a "dream" of mine, and now that I'm finally making money myself, I can finally fulfill this dream!
I had a look at some models and came across the MacBook Pro 13 "(2019) fairly quickly, and I'm about to get it. However, I also saw some MacBook Air's in the store that I really like They also have a battery life of 12 hours, the pro has 2 hours less (for me that is still a lot, since my old one didn't even last 1 hour.) I don't really need a MacBook to work or anything, he is just to watch films and surf the internet and of course also for schoolwork!
Which MacBook is better for it? I'm currently really unsure and could really use a few opinions.

I would rather tend away from the 2019 and take a newer Air or Pro from 2020.
The old ones still have the error-prone "Butterfly" keyboard, which has finally been blown out with the current Air and Pro 13 "(which is why I also let myself be tempted to buy a Mac).
For your use case described, which is not too complex and computationally intensive, I would definitely use the latest Air.

Because for the pro, which I actually wanted to get, I would have already invested 1359 euro, which is a lot of money, and I could probably not go much higher in price, because my trainee money is not sufficient for this. The current Air is available from 1200 euro, as you can also see on the Apple website.
If you are a student, there's also a discount again. As far as I know, there should also be apprentices, it is definitely worth asking.
