Apple Ear Pods defective?

I unplugged it from my laptop for a few minutes. And when I put them back in, they stopped working. I have already checked the audio settings, but they are not even displayed there (so only the laptop speaker is displayed). I wonder why it could be, because I couldn't find any damage to the headphones (not even the cable or something).

Do they work on the iPhone?

I don't think it's the headphones. I also tried my headset and it doesn't work either. When I plug it in, the sound continues to play on the laptop and not on the headphones
