Hi, I would like to connect music boxes (with copper cables) to a laptop, does anyone know what kind of amplifier I need?

Nothing works without an amplifier. Either you use active speakers or an amplifier. With PC boxes (active) you have already installed the appropriate jack plug, with "normal" active boxes (hi-fi area) or an amplifier you need an adapter cable jack plug to cinch plug.
