Do you notice a delay when you connect an external keyboard (laptop)?

If it is connected via USB, then not.

You can't say that in general, but you would have to know exactly what keyboard it is.

But basically rather no, the delay is in the millisecond range and should not be noticeable. If it is about 1sec or even longer, I would rather say that a component is overloaded (e.g. CPU), which often leads to delays.

Ps I assume that you mean a wired USB keyboard and not a Bluetooth USB keyboard.
