I have a question and I have a laptop that is several years old. I have a hard drive with 500 gigabytes of memory. Now I've googled online and most laptops don't have more than 500 GB. Can that be or have I looked wrong? I thought by now there are several terabytes of hard disk space in the laptop.
500 GB - 1000 GB is a common size at lappies
the size of the hard drive has little to do with the performance or computing speed of laptops
But not for laptops. There are 2.5 "disks with several terabytes, but it's a question of price.
Of course you can buy a PC / laptop with several terabytes, but this increases the price and in most cases you don't need more than 1Tb even for gaming.
Thanks
Several terabytes in the laptop or externally?
My concern is that I can save my songs and pictures and not always need an external record.
Internally.
yes I replaced the record myself. Now there's a 2TB in it. There are now also 3TB but with a height of 15mm. They don't fit in.
Thanks for the information
Or take an SSD right away, but then it'll be even more expensive
