The price would be a maximum of 1200 euro

I have a laptop at home, but it has a very weak battery. However, his performance is perfect. (If this info is relevant)

P.S. Please answer only those who already have their own experience (or the other)

Although I have my own experience, but it would be good to know what you are studying and if you use the device for certain programs or for writing and what else you want to do with it.

You will probably be more involved with modeling or programming programs. This is either a laptop or a convertible.
But if you also want to write your transcripts electronically, you should bet on a convertible. Of course, a tablet would be even better for transcriptions and PDF editing. However, a tablet is worthwhile only if you also have a PC at home (on a tablet certain programs are not available, even if there were alternatives).

So you do not want to write electronically I recommend you a PC.

Do you want to write down electronically and need a PC, I recommend a convertible (or a cheap tablet (eg IPad 2018) and a PC).

Above all, do you want to write down, edit PDFs, or acquire your books digitally… Would a tablet be appropriate.

I can say from experience that a simple tablet does not look like much more than transparencies and brings something googling. In short, you can with the mobile phone too.

People know the work with the big iPad with pen, that works very well. I can recommend that.

The problem with the laptop or convertible is the space with the keyboard. You also have to know what you like, typing or typing. The necessary programs that are needed are usually available on PCs of the educational institution, I do not know any of these programs on a laptop because the z.T. Very resource hungry as far as memory is concerned.

My tip is, Get a tablet or convertible that supports writing with a pen, so you can quickly write something down. IPad or Surface are the best known.

Everything else is just bauble and not important.

To recommend something flat over the internet is very difficult. Ultimately, that depends on what you study and where and under what conditions as well as what you want to do with the laptop, tablet etc. Exactly or must…

When it comes to writing during the lectures or loading the scripts in electronic form, a tablet would be the better alternative. Because depending on the university or lecture hall, the space per student is very cramped. The smaller the device, the better. A laptop often barely fits on the table. And should you actually need it in the classroom (programming, etc. Depending on the degree program), then it is usually provided by the university or There are specially equipped rooms.

However, you will not get around a laptop. Because on the one hand, some or many programs that you may need during your studies can't be loaded on the tablet, and on the other hand, writing long texts (summaries, lectures, homework, …) and hours of research is anything but comfortable to work on the small tray. It then needs a decent keyboard and a fairly large screen.
Apart from that, I have personally experienced that in most cases, quite a "old school" a printed script, a college block and pen are much more effective than a tablet. Ok, you drags to the end of a semester, if necessary. Relatively much paper around and has to store at home somewhere. But: A sheet of paper in front of the nose is seen for several hours much more relaxed for the eyes than a self-luminous screen. Plus, it's easier to remember things that you wrote yourself by hand. Personally, I found in the repetition and exam preparation scripts worked out with color markings, annotations and Post-Its always much better than me through hundreds of PDF pages with comment fields, etc. To work In addition, that one in the lecture through the whole Technology rather distracted and slower… Scrolling, adding comments, formatting font, highlighting color… Save regularly - I was with pen and slip much faster and could find the important points also much faster in hindsight. Annoying I found on the tablet then the regularly aufploppenden service messages, battery and update instructions, information on incoming emails (och, I can quickly retrieve synonymous… And answer…) and the struggle of the students for the few available sockets, when the battery was over again. And: The simultaneous typing of dozens (or in large rooms even hundreds) of students on keyboard or with stick on display is a not to be underestimated background noise, which at some point pretty annoying.
With us it was actually the case that around 80% started with tray… And after 2 semesters only about 20% worked with tray.

So my tip: Create a decent laptop with a fairly large display. You will need to study for writing, research, create and present presentations.
If it is to be something technical for the class: Create yourself a cheap tray and see if you can handle it well during the lectures and learn well "electronically" (follow-up, exam preparation).

For a degree program you do not need a laptop at the beginning…

Block + pen is enough… With me was HM1 and HM2 (math) without calculator!

And many lectures did not like electronic devices.

Later, you will need a laptop for CAD, Visual Studio, LabView, Matlab, etc. But that's usually enough for a solid max. 800 euro, because it is usually not too complex and big anyway.

Thank you for your answer!

So I have a laptop at home; The battery has become very weak.

Well, are you planning to work with the PC in the university? Or do you want to do your work at home?
If you then only need something to write or PDFs edit, a tablet is more recommended.
