Only spilled it over the mousepad, a part has also flowed to the bottom of the notebook.
Have the liquid wiped away only on the surface and the device is not screwed because I do not know my way with the disassembly of technical equipment.
For the time being, the device also ran as usual, but suddenly it turned off by itself. Restart works - but no picture comes and the fan runs at full speed.
Now it is permanently in this state and can't be switched off even by pressing a button on the "Start" button.
Can I assume that something has broken? Or is the device trying to release the fluid using the fan?
There will be damage. I also saw coffee dribbling on a laptop. Only a few of these are enough to damage the device. You should go with it to the expert - sometimes you can repair the device by replacing affected parts.
If liquid has penetrated you can forget the part.
Or is the device trying to release the fluid using the fan?
certainly not. A device that comes into contact with electrically conductive liquid should always be switched off and disconnected from the power supply (remove the battery) and then left for at least 24 hours, preferably much longer, so that it can't dry out.
If you ever have a short circuit in the system, something is probably broken, this may have happened now.
So, without further ado, I can't help you there, the best time to visit a professional PC shop (no Saturn, media market or such a nonsense)
If the wine is properly dried, it may eventually go back. The problem is, however, when liquid dries up, only the water disappears, dust, sugar, salt, … What was in the water or wine stays behind and can cause short circuits. If the fan turns yes, but nothing else works, you can either wait a few days or, as threadi already wrote, go to the specialist. Or both…
Repair would not be worth it, I bought the device for 140 euro used.
would be a pity, however, if this defect does not fix itself.
1st I have no money for replacement and
2. Is the device just 4 years old and in top condition.
Thanks to i7 processor, a SSD, 8GB RAM and a Geforce graphics chip, you could do a lot with it.
