2 connect a monitor to the laptop?

I have a laptop with an HDMI connection.

Now I want to connect 2 monitors but something different should be displayed from each screen so nothing twice.

How do I get something?

In the settings. The options "Mirror monitor" or "Expand monitor" (or similar) should be available. In your case, the option would be to expand.
