Which laptop as a graphic designer?

Hello dear designers and friends of technology! I'm a student and use Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and co. Every day. Now I want to get a new laptop and I don't really know which one is suitable for a budding graphic designer.

He should:

easy to transport (size approx. 15 inches)
of course with a lot of storage space
get along well with the Adobe Suite
(maybe even a Mac Book, since I already have an iPad with an Apple Pen)

If someone has a recommendation or tips, I would be very happy to get answers!

Best wishes and stay healthy!

How about the new macbook air that has a very colorful screen and the price of 999 euro may be a bit much but it is worth it

For the Adobe programs in particular, I advise you to use a MacBook Pro. The air is not enough in my opinion.

I have the MacBook Pro 2016 with 16GB RAM and all Adobe programs run smoothly and can be used in time. My laptop only reaches its limits when rendering.

If you want to go more in the direction of video or 3D, however, I would rather recommend a Windows computer.

Apple just works extremely well with other Apple products. Using the iPad as an extended screen or even a graphics tablet definitely makes sense. In addition, you will use the airDrop function daily in group projects.

Or Apple

Upsidupsi but thanks that is of course also a good tip!

The new macbook air has enough power for image editing etc and is significantly cheaper

Yes, but in the design profession you like to have several Adobe programs open. Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop alongside eats a lot of performance.

Then there's ne motion graphics and all links must be in After Effects. In my course there were two people with a MacbookAir and both complained of lack of performance. Editing a bit of Instagram pictures also works with a MacBook Air, of course.

According to Duden, both are possible:

In general I would recommend at least:

Current i5 processor

Medium quality graphics card

8th; better 16 GB ram

Monitor with acceptable color fidelity

Have had a win computer for years. The Creative Cloud runs smoothly on it.

If you want to do video editing later, I recommend a midi tower. A laptop would be sufficient for the applications you mentioned. However, a time monitor because of the pallets would be very useful.

Second monitor.

In my opinion the screen would be too small. Photoshop e.g. Always comes with a lot of pallets - there's hardly any space for the image to be edited.
