On the first floor, I expanded the Wi-Fi from the main router on the ground floor using a repeater and connected a router behind the repeater so that the repeater had the entire capacity to communicate with the main router.
The problem is, however, either the speed is constantly at 180 Mbit or it keeps a speed between 300-400 Mbit.
There was never between 180 and 300Mbit. Just like under 180Mbit. There has never been that either.
However, I don't know why. Sometimes there are only 180Mbit inside for several hours or days, sometimes 300-400Mbit.
Have already tested it with multiple devices without a result. The full speed comes at the bottom of the main router. Even if I connect my laptop to the repeater via LAN. I get the full speed.
It could be that you are in the 2.4GHz network and in the 5GHz network
2.4 Ghz is only a maximum of 120 Mbit and is also completely deactivated. Only the 5 GHz channel is activated with its own Wi-Fi name.
Have you checked the channel bandwidth with which the devices are registered? That would also be an option. Depending on whether you only use 20MHz or more, there could be differences.
Maybe they don't use ac at all, just a or n
By the way, 2.4GHz can do more than 120 Mbit
