Opinion about this laptop?

I want to buy a new laptop and have looked something. I then came to https://www.otto.de/...=984613392, what do you think of it.

Can you play small games with it?

En

Would take the current generation so Ryzen 4000 doesn't really cost much more but is a lot better.

Pa

To be honest, I would think about it: the screen is 17.3 "and only has a resolution of 1600X900. Otherwise good for the price.

Ra

I would no longer recommend buying a notebook with a resolution of 1600x900 pixels…

With the device you would already get a newer Ryzen 4000 processor (newer series) - it is significantly more powerful

If you would add another 100 EUR, you could get the version with even 8 instead of 6 CPU cores:

Depends on the field of application, I don't think much of Ryzen Mobil until Renoir came, don't misunderstand the 3xxx chips are okay, are only slightly behind the core processors from Intel and have the better IGP but they also have a chiplet design with two CCX cores and the interposer consumes a few watts even when idle, together with the huge 17 "screen and the small 41Wh battery, the runtime will be pathetic, which is bad for school / university etc. In addition, it is a very nice chunk, heavy and large, too weak for mobile bad as desktop replacement.

Incidentally, I didn't want to make you AMD mobile mad, the 4xxx Ryzen CPUs (Renoir) are awesome, stronger than the core i chips and yet more efficient.

My recommendation for less than 500 euro:

To:

4700u (+150 euro)
FreeDos (-60 euro)
Selectable Memory 4GB (+20 euro)
14 "FullHD IPS panel (+20 euro)

You can get your Windows license cheap here:

https://software-codes.com/products/windows-10-pro

And with the Media Creation Tool from Microsoft, you can download the latest version of Windows & create a boot stick (at least 8GB):

https://www.microsoft.com/...ndows10ISO

The only disadvantage: The larger 3-cell seems to be sold out. So you don't have a bomb runtime with sausage (you could still retrofit that in the future). Otherwise, you have a strong, economical and small laptop for on the go. Lenovo also installs good keyboards, also in the IdeaPad series.

With that, all games should be playable. Now with the demanding titles not at the highest resolution and so Joo for a laptop is the not bad think

Bo

For a similar price with a slightly longer battery life and a slightly larger panel, you can also take the 15.6 ". Configure as above and also select the 3-cell battery (+30 euro).

Many thanks for the answer. Do you think it would make sense to expand from 8 to 16 GB of RAM?

sa

It depends on what you want to do. Have recently upgraded from 8gb to 16gb and can do a lot more things in the background is really cool so 16gb are really not a bad investment

Fr

Okay thanks
