So that the life in the retirement home for the renter is also worth living?
I ask for the simple reason that last night I watched a ZDF feature on YouTube about retirement homes in Germany. And there was shown a room that did not have radio on it, let alone television - it also seemed to me like a sterile hospital room in a hospital.
My grandparents live happily ever since in their property. And Grandpa once said that he would only go to a retirement home if he could continue to use a TV, radio and especially his laptop there.
And when I relate that to my virgin 16 years old, it's clear to me that I would not move into such a home even if I could continue to use my usual entertainment media for myself - apart from ever having that Retiree age reach - you can never know if I have not until then an accident, illness, etc. In between?
But as I said: What equipment should have in your opinion, a room in the retirement home, so it in your opinion pensioner worthy?
Normally, you can bring your equipment and operate in a retirement home. Mostly also small furniture to have a "piece at home".
In most nursing homes, residents have the option of bringing their own furniture, including their television or radio. He can also attach pictures to the wall.
And if the grandfather can't do this, then it should make the 16-year-old grandson.
Honestly. We could wish for everything… But it will never be implemented anyway… Unless you have a lot of money and goes privately in the retirement home.
Well, as far as this one topic is concerned, one could argue heartily - because in my opinion there's much more important in life.
Thank you. Was as I said a question of curiosity. And do not worry: none of us has to persuade the grandparents to go to the retirement home. Because as long as they are as fit as before, I think they should live at home.
