I want to buy a laptop. I'm starting to learn graphic design and so I want to have a device that works great with adobe programs and shows the colors well. I've read a lot that most (professional) graphic designers work with Macs from Apple. Is that so?
I want a laptop with 16 GB of RAM, a SSD hard drive of min. 258 GB and I7 Core for a Windows laptop. The Macs, however, cost almost 2,000 euro to meet these requirements. The "cheaper" Macs for about 1200-1300 have only 8 GB and 128 GB SSD… Should I prefer to stay with Windows? Because more than 1300 euro I can't spend.
Please do not buy a macbook the performance of which for the money is more than bad the only good thing is just the display and that's the performance of which you get from a 400 euro laptop as well! Get a gaming laptop and install Macos on it to get far better performance.
Yes, that's it. However, it seems more of a freak behavior than technical necessity.
Hard drive at least 500 GB, if you ask me. You will want to save many pictures.
The only thing that seems to speak to me for Mac would be if you were to trade and work a lot with colleagues, all of whom have Macs. Otherwise I would take the cheaper MS. He leaves nothing to be desired.
Oh, Adobe… The freeware program is awesome: paint.net, gimp, inkscape…
Thanks for the answer. I work during the training with Adobe programs.
What are macos?
If they are not too expensive for you, they are undoubtedly good.
The operating system
Is more in the professional field to the compatibility of the data… Since you can handle some, albeit good freeware programs shipwreck.
Very big flaw in most embedding ICC and the various PDF formats for printing.
But it is a very complicated procedure
Goes fully ez
Adobe programs have been doing well on both systems for decades.
I would never buy an Apple, because you pay more for the same performance and really high-end machines (like you do not need them yet) are not there.
What the Macs Do Well: Interact with other Apple devices (colleagues or your own iWatch, iPad, iKlopapier, …). If you already have apple devices and like the operating system, then Apple. If not, then not?
On Windows (or Linux!) There are plenty of programs such as GIMP, Inkscape, Blender are also very suitable. It does not always have to be Adobe (unless it is required for the course, for example).
If you know enough about it yes.
Operating system Apple

Thank you. Yes Adobe is required.
Do you already have Apple devices?
If it's just for a class, I would buy something that is not over the top, is to study and practice and be mobile. Dear the laptop 2500 euro cheaper than "high-end", so that everything is running and a decent PC at home to work.
Only one of Apple is my phone. Iphone 7, where I think iwie not so great and the next is again samsung xD
Then: laptop from Lenovo, Dell, Toshiba, anything robust with enough RAM and processor. Must be for a course safe from the power of no P52 Lenovo like mine here, more important would be sure that you can carry it around well and the color space is right.
