I ask for a friend of mine who has the following problem:

In summer she starts 3 years of vocational training. At the moment she is still getting ALG2 together with her partner and is therefore in a "community of needs".

Your question is now: can she apply for one-off payments for several purchases that she really needs for the apprenticeship at the responsible job center (does not know whether it differs from city to city)? Among other things, she needs a notebook with a performance of at least 8GB Ram. Additional work clothes, reasonable blazers, several women's shirts, etc. Reasonable clothes. She also needs school supplies, such as pens, pads, folders and an education book which costs just under 90 euro.

The question now is someone has experience and can tell us a few things about it? Whether she receives, for example, coverage of these things on request? And if so, what exactly should she apply for? What about the community of needs, is the trainee salary credited to the money by the partner?

Can she only clarify personally with her self-service and ask if there's a possibility to receive financial support according to § 16 Paragraph 1 SGB-ll (services for integration), but you have no legal claim to this, would therefore be a can service.

Exemptions according to § 11 b SGB - ll

The first 100 euro of the gross income is the basic allowance, from 100 euro - 1000 euro gross 20% and from 1000 euro - 1200 euro gross 10% of the allowance.

If these were exceeded, increased occupational expenses could be deducted on proof.

Should she e.g. If they receive little or no financial support from the job center in accordance with Section 16 (1) SGB-ll and they can't cover the actual costs, then they should have the whole thing confirmed in writing by the employer, i.e. That they need the said items.
