For several months now I have wanted to put together a PC or buy it assembled. (It is not important to me) Because the prices are far too high, this is not possible at the moment! I would very much like to play a few more demanding games. What should I do?

I would best seek advice from experts. Also, ask yourself which games you want to play and how much money are willing to invest in them.
I own a 4th generation Intel Core i7 and a Geforce RTX 2060 and I'm satisfied with the components. In order to operate the graphics card, a very powerful power supply is required. I also connected a 500GB SSD and connected two monitors. In total, I've spent more than 1500 euro on my equipment over the years.
The problem is in the majority of the people. When things are so expensive that you can't afford them, they can't play games. There are even people who can hardly live or even eat because of it. What you can do is make or scrape together enough money that you can afford it. We all have to do that.
I'm now relatively familiar with the components, but I would like to buy a PC with which I will still be able to play the new games on high settings in a few years.
So I would either wait or maybe take a look at hardware advice. At least I've already read that in forums.

I've already noticed that some just look where parts are currently cheapest. And buy everything there if you have one. Despite the current hardware situation
So if your budget is high then an RTX 3080 or RTX 3090
If you have a standard budget like 1000 euro or 1200 euro then an RTX 3060ti or 3070
But only stop again when everything is available.
If you want to spend as little money as possible then you will unfortunately have to wait. I'm also waiting for an improvement so that I can finally build a real PC myself.
So right now the prices of graphics cards are outrageous. Many say prices will only continue to rise in the next 3 months. Better to wait or buy as soon as possible.
