Whenever I want to buy something expensive, I have such a guilty conscience. Money wise, I'm fine. Have more than 15k on the account (will not specify now you should only understand my view) (with 19). So no life on the limit. Now I wanted to buy something expensive (about 500 euro) but I can't. I always have such a bad conscience. Mostly it ends up that I buy more stuff but less cost. For example, last week bought some sweaters for 300 euro in total. But since it costs 50-80 euro I care less. I have spent more than 500 euro so far and that was then for a laptop with 16 of my first salary. Save currently about 550 euro a month (even with the 300 euro of the sweaters should work) plus I save on my vacation in late September + on a new phone, etc. Every month a little something. But I do not have the money until October.
I always look at my bank account and see the sum and just do not want that they will be less.
Any tips? Please do not buy now, etc. This will not solve the problem…
In principle, that's ok. If you think about it, you do not need all the stuff. You have to take care of it and manage it. Later you have the problem of disposal.
Now you have to transfer the bad conscience to all sums of money and buy only the really necessary. Then your life begins to change completely. If you do not have to worry about all this superfluous bells and whistles you will be completely relaxed, feel free and have no money worries.
I think that if you go to work and earn money accordingly, or have the money for other purposes, you can afford something expensive.
The eternal save for later I consider borderline only makes sense. Theoretically, something can happen to me from 1 to the other day.
Can remember my grandfather, who also saved a lot, then lost a lot during the "stock crash". After he died, he inherited everything from 1 to 4 children (not my branch, mind you).
So as long as you do not live beyond your means and have the finances under control, I would buy only expensive things. As a reward.
One reason to have a guilty conscience would be if e.g. The parents go to work intensively and the child throws the money "at the window". Then a guilty conscience is justified. Or if you throw everything out for things like sports betting or gambling…
Halo! I do not even know how high my investments are in total
But I rather buy practical oriented and cheap and donate. The rest
Is not a show but really like that
