Is it smart to buy a PC now? My 12 year old notebook is so slow on the mind and I need a PC in the price range up to 650 euro. I already got stuff out there, but the real question is whether you should buy a PC now or in 1-2 years.
I know a lot about mobile phones and can therefore Say that (in my view) 2018 was a pretty bad year to buy a cell phone.
SSDs have become popular in recent years. I would like to know if you should wait for such a renewal, and only then should buy a PC.
Depends entirely on you if you prefer more pc or notebook and in the 1-2 years will not change much of the technology stop online for discounts lookout if you want to save money

You should then buy a PC if you need it. You could wait for something like after-Christmas sales, etc. At short notice, where prices are often lower.
The computer prices are always roughly the same, but you get paid for the money in e.g. 2 years for the same money newer and possibly more powerful hardware. But if you go after that, you always have to wait for better hardware - so buy it when you need that part.

I would wait until November. Then the price war hiss Intel and AMD go right, because you can possibly save something. Something new breaking ground is in my eyes not in sight.

No idea, at the earliest perhaps much more powerful CPUs and GraKas - something is always in the pipeline. And you must not forget, the groundbreaking techniques are first i.d.R. Always very expensive.
In my view, it's not worth waiting for.
