I want to buy a USB 3.1 external hard drive so that I can download games to the external one on the laptop and play them on the PC.
It works with steam and battle.net, but I didn't find anything about it at rockstar games.
I don't have GTA 5 on steam but in the Rockstar Launcher. If I download gta 5 to the external ssd on my laptop, I connect the external ssd to my pc, can I play gta on my pc?
You can select the installation directory in the Rockstar Launcher. You then simply select the GTA directory on your SSD.
I don't want to install it on the PC because it takes days to receive it. Does that mean if I load gta on the external laptop with a buddy with good reception, can I then switch the table of contents to the external one on the rockstar Launcher on the PC and the game is recognized?
If you download a game to an external hard drive and connect it to another device, you should be able to play the games there too. You just have to add the hard drive as extended storage and then your PC will automatically load the files and recognize them.
