I wanted to get a 144hz monitor to connect my Ps4 and my laptop. Now I have a question: I have read that if you connect the HDMI cable to the laptop, you only get a maximum of 60hz, but with the display port you get the full power of 144hz to the laptop. Is that true or can I also get 144hz on the laptop with the Hdmi cable (it can play over 144fps etc)?
Normally you can also reach 144Hz with an HDMI cable, but I would still recommend a Displayport cable.

With an HDMI port you also get 144hz from the 2Gen, but you have to check which connection your laptop has. Otherwise DP is the better solution
