Windows 7 not starting properly? (black screen with mouse pointer)?

Windows 7 has not worked properly on a relatively old laptop (6 years old) for almost 2-3 months. After starting up, you only see a black screen with a mouse pointer on it. In between, the laptop worked normally, but not the next time.

You should have it on Windows 10

Anyone who still uses Win7 today is playing with fire. Have fun and happy hacking.

Guess that screams for a new installation. What kind of device is it?

I would just guess that Windows has "expired". So backup the important files and set them up again.

So I drive several laptops and a PC with Windows 7 and have had no problems so far. Reasonable virus protection and above all "brain.exe" are sufficient. If you just put all the garbage on the record and open every mail without looking…
