Wi-Fi problems in clinic?

I'm currently in rehab. The Wi-Fi is available in the area of the cafeteria in the basement, in the entrance hall on the ground floor and in the guard area in the immediate vicinity of the sister room in the middle on the 2nd floor. My room is on the first floor but still in the reception area of the Wi-Fi, it also ran smoothly for 2 weeks. I was always shown a good connection, but now it is spinning for the third day in a row.

Sometimes I have a connection but is excruciatingly slow, sometimes I have no Internet. Now I had a total outage of 2 hours, and suddenly I have reception and fast internet on my laptop again, but no connection is displayed on my iPhone XS. I've already restarted the phone, it doesn't work. Why is that? If I ask the sisters, all they have to do is sit down in the entrance hall, they can be glad that they are one of the few lucky ones to have the Wi-Fi in their room - damn the RV pays over 1000 euro per person here every day, Wi-Fi should be a matter of course

Can you complain to the RV 🤦♀️

lo

She laughs at it broke. There's no right to Wi-Fi

sq

I know - but give the MA some fun there ;-)

lo

Uh no. Enough strange people are calling us.

sq

Okay, that sounds convincing ;-)

Does your cell phone have good network reception? If so, make it a hotspot and your problems will be solved.

Many people can't understand you. In my opinion, Wi-Fi should be a matter of course. But can also simply be related to the fact that I work in the IT area.

Anyway, one reason could be that iPhone's have not necessarily installed the best antennas. However, this doesn't make sense since you had reception without problems a few days ago. You can do yourself a maximum, ask. Apparently you already have this.

Your only option would be to buy data volume.

Personally, I always have negative experiences if there's no Wi-Fi in public facilities.

I hope you get better soon and you get over it.

A rehabilitation facility is not a public facility…

I know I just couldn't think of the right word. Then I just "clapped" it in there.

Unfortunately, this is common practice in rehabilitation clinics. You have Wi-Fi pro forma in certain areas, but too weak for many users. Especially bad on the weekend when visitors also want to go inside. The best way to take care of yourself is to use the mobile network. But with o2 that is also pinched in the arm, because the clinics are usually not exactly central.

"Anyway, one reason could be that iPhone's didn't necessarily have the best antennas"

And something from an alleged IT specialist. Ridiculous. I have had the same experience in several clinics and it was the same for all fellow patients, regardless of the mobile phone brand. However, I always had full Lotte mobile data with my iPhones, and most of the others did not. In the house as well as outside. How does the IR explain this?

Is

First of all, I don't work as an IT specialist.

In addition, this was only one possible cause which I then closed again.

On the other hand, it is simply the case that Apple does not install very strong WLAN antennas.

Sas sounded different here:

No, nothing is just like that, you have to prove it or explain it.

The Wi-Fi becoming bad can have some influences. New stations nearby. It doesn't even have to be Wi-Fi, it can also be something like 5g, and cheap devices with bad EMC behavior. Actually, the devices should be monitored more strictly in the course of increasing networking, but the market for love mostly happens the opposite.

I would ask the fellow patients, maybe they will also lose. If so, then you should make a collective complaint, maybe they'll react more because they'll finally believe it's not your problem.
