I need a way to be online for my laptop (I do not have a smartphone and I do not want one). What are the possibilities and who knows the best providers?

Another option would be to connect to public Wi-Fi hotspots.
A portable Wi-Fi spot with LTE or similar would do it too.
Have you ever heard of mobile? Buy a SIM card from a wireless service provider and do the thing in laptop, if your laptop does not have a SIM card slot buy an adapter or a corresponding device, which generates you with the SIM card a local WLAN for the laptop.
