Connect switch to laptop? - 1

I only have an HDMI output on my laptop, but I read that it is possible to connect the switch with an HMDI input capture card. Now my question is, which one should I buy? I have no plan for it and I don't want to buy any scrap.

Actually that shouldn't be possible, laptops take their own. Never any picture inputs

Shouldn't work, the HDMI port on the notebook is a pure output and not an input. No adapter and no rain dance will help either.

If it works, please let me know.
