For the additional backup of my Minecraft world, I wanted to export it to my laptop. Unfortunately there was always an error message and not the entire folder could be copied. After a short search I found out that the files are missing in the subfolder "db", which stores the generated terrain. It is not possible to copy them. Does that mean the files are damaged or do I need an extra program that can read the files? The only thing I know can corrupt files is man-made villages in the Nether, but I've never taken Villager to other dimensions.
How do you mean by "export"? Do you mean the world of Bedrock (mobile phone, console, Windows 10 version) to the Java version?
I just wanted to copy the world to the laptop as a backup. I'll edit the question again so it's clearer
First of all: I recommend this file manager app:
https://wicbcvfcwkfizy7kp565rueram-adwhj77lcyoafdy-play-google-com.translate.goog/store/apps/details?id=com.alphainventor.filemanager
In the app you then go to the storage path: main memory> games> com.mojang> minecraftpe> minecraftworlds.
There are the folders that then represent the Minecraft worlds.
Attention, there are 2 ways to secure these worlds!
Method 1: mark this one folder or several and archived them under "more"> "pack". The folders including the files are securely packed in a zip file. You can then, for example, put this zip on your PC, "unzip" it again and copy the folder there manually into the storage path for the Windows 10 version of Minecraft Bedrock. The worlds are then also recognized.
Method 2: choose a folder that you would like to have on your PC, open it and mark everything in this folder: the db folder, the 2 folders resource_pack and behavior_pack (if these 2 exist, if not, that's not so bad) and all Files like the .jpeg, txt, .json, the .dat and the .dat_old file.
Pack the entire marked content in a zip file. Rename the created zip file:
Rename the file extension zip to Macworld, being careful not to accidentally delete the point.
When we confirm the zip file has been "converted" to a special pack file. You can also use it to put the file on your PC. If it is on your PC, you only have to double-click it, the Windows 10 version of Minecraft Bedrock will immediately start and then import the world as soon as the game has loaded to the menu. (The import process can sometimes fail, so you switch to the file browser again and double-click again to repeat it. Then it should really import into the Windows 10 version without failure.
Thank you very much, I'll try this out tomorrow
